Inherited Arts Forum (IAF) is a collaborative venture between two contemporary galleries, Exhibit 320 and Blueprint12. ‘The Arboreal Haven’ exhibition, featuring the remarkable works of Mayank Kumar Shyam, marks another chapter in the Inherited Arts Forum’s journey to champion and preserve folk and tribal art forms from across India.
Mayank Kumar Shyam, a distinguished artist from the Gond Pardhan community in Madhya Pradesh, has masterfully woven together traditional oral narratives with contemporary artistic expression. The exhibition takes its name from a profound story where the compassionate relationship between a bird and a tree leads to a harmonious coexistence, ultimately transforming into a collection of mesmerizing visual art forms.The ‘Arboreal Haven’ exhibition is a testament to the enduring power of storytelling and art’s ability to breathe life into ancient tales.
