Garden of Infinite Desires
April 28 @ 11:00 am - June 25 @ 7:00 pm

Garden of Infinite Desires, a group exhibition, would showcase the works of seven artists from Bengal: Arunima Choudhury, Ghana Shyam Latua, Kartick Chandra Pyne, Manas Naskar, Mrinal Kanti Gayen, Puja Mondal and Santanu Debnath. The exhibition revolving around the concept of nature brings together diverse kinds of work done in various mediums. While some artists look at nature critically, placing it in the current discourses of ecology, memory and environment, others celebrate its beauty and diversity. In the age of decaying ecology, we are less concerned with material progress than reparative justice, valuing nature – its rivers, forests and oceans – before we pay the price. The exhibition shows art has the power to revitalize our bonding with nature, revealing that it remains an inexhaustible source of our creative feelings and imagination.
